Job Description: As a React Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing user interface components using React.js concepts and workflows such as Redux, Flux, and Webpack. You will also ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new user-facing features using React.js
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and JavaScript object model
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization
- Familiarity with Git and Git workflows
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with responsive design and development
- Understanding of server-side rendering and its benefits and use cases
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (such as Jest, Enzyme) and test-driven development
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years of professional experience in front-end development
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in a timely manner
